RSPB Nature Reserve, Old Moor Ln, Wombwell, Bolton upon Dearne, Barnsley S73 0YF Meet in the courtyard at 10am. General Walk. There are two main routes around Old Moor with several hides. There is no charge to park, but there is an entry fee for A circular Spring walk down through Brownsham Woods to the coast for birds, flowers and early butterflies. Meet at CP* at 9.30 am or if going direct at 10.15 am in the Brownsham car park (Map Ref SS 288 260).Bring a packed lunch and sturdy footwear. Possible cream tea afterwards. Meet at the Pill car park in Bideford at 9.30 am as limited parking on site. Looking at flowers and invertebrates, no specific leader but several experts will be available to help. Following on from the success of the BNA Weekend Workshop in 2023, a return visit with a possible coach. If travelling independently, meet at the entrance to the visitor A circular walk at Hartland Point. There is a cafe in the car park. For further Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve, Bridlington YO15 1JF. Sea birds. Meet outside the visitor centre at 11am. There is no charge to park, but there is an entry fee for non-members. There is a two-mile cliff top trail with several viewing points. There are takeaway refreshments and outdoor seating (limited indoor seating). Bring a packed lunch Parkwood Springs, Cooks Wood Rd, Sheffield S3 9AA. General walk leaders – Catherine and Mark. This is a return visit to look at the meadows and grasslands. Meet in the car park at 11am. More details to follow. A walk out to Baggy Point for birds, flowers, butterflies and possibly seals. Meet at CP* at 9.30 am or if going direct then in the Baggy Point car park (Map Ref SS 432 397) (Post code EX33 1PA).at 10.15 am Car park charge. Bring a packed lunch and sturdy footwear. Possible cream tea. For Another popular request, this time a walk around Torrington Common for butterflies, flowers and trees. Meet at CP* at 10.00am or in the Torrington Common lower car park at 10.30am. Steep in places. Sturdy footwear and a packed lunch. This may be the last cream tea of the year. For further information ring Brian Sims Linda Ryan is lucky enough to own her own woodland. And is opening it to members to see the latest management she has done and look for flowers and insects. Meet on the roadside opposite the wood at 11am. More details will be emailed to members nearer the date. Can be rough underfoot so sturdy Longshaw Estate, Sheffield S11 7TZ. Wild deer rut and fungi. If going direct be there at Dart’s Farm at 10.15 am (Post code EX3 0QH) visiting Dart’s Farm, Goosemoor, the RSPB Reserve at Bowling Green Marsh, the River Clyst, the Goat Walk and possibly Exminster Marshes and Powderham. Packed lunch, hot drinks, Social and administrative meeting at Moira’s house, 28 Applehaigh Lane, Notton, Wakefield, WF4 2NA. 2pm.
