Due to the great success of last year's national BNA AGM we are returning to the same great location hosted by the Selborne Society at their Perivale Wood Reserve & their excellent straw-built Bluebell Centre. The reserve has a great range of habitat including ancient woodland & grassland. As last year the Selborne Soc are kindly providing a complimentary lunch to BNA members & guests. Access is easy as the reserve is just a couple of hundred metres away

Brighton & Hove City Council and several local environmental organisations will come together in 2020 to honour and promote Brighton & Lewes’ Downs Biosphere. Creating a year-long series of eco-positive events around Brighton and Lewes’ Living Coast, Nature2020 will works to raise awareness of local nature reserves and conservation in a fun and inclusive manner for locals and tourists alike.

Dark Skies Festival

The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, which remain some of the darkest places in England, are once again running a joint Dark Skies Festival in February 2020. The 2019 Festival included stargazing, night zips, wildlife and ghost walks, starlight runs and bike rides, games, activities and more, and 2020 promises to be no less impressive.

European Pond Conservation Network Conference

Responding to the considerable need to conserve European ponds, the conference will combine pond biology, hydrology and landscape ecology with pond conservation practice and welcomes both scientists and conservation practitioners to the meeting.
